It would be foolish hinting towards key loggers. This one will reveal itself soon enough. :)

Image I went ahead and downloaded the 64 bit from here and I got this. Image

Me thinking it was the client I opened it up and my anti virus went haywire and afterwards closing itself. I went ahead since I was off to meet up with friends and turned it off. I got back home and my pc was still on without the anti-virus turned on. Turns out I got a virus from this download. Idk if it was a bug with it or what but... yep

Why would you download a client in the form of .exe? Especially when it's named .zip.exe, it doesn't get any more obvious that it's not a .zip archive and most likely Xcom isn't trying to scam you, but you clicked the wrong thing.

Hi,

This client seems great - I like it a lot so far! The only question I have is, how do I change the key that is marked "Flask Key"? Whenever I click on it the textbox and try to write something in, the client crashes. I'm on a mac, by the way.

Code: Select all
Exception in thread "Haven UI thread" java.lang.NoSuchMethodError: java.awt.event.KeyEvent.getExtendedKeyCode()I
   at haven.OptWnd$36.keydown(OptWnd.java:330)
   at haven.Widget.keydown(Widget.java:404)
   at haven.Widget.keydown(Widget.java:404)
   at haven.ConsoleHost.keydown(ConsoleHost.java:129)
   at haven.UI.keydown(UI.java:282)
   at haven.HavenPanel.dispatch(HavenPanel.java:378)
   at haven.HavenPanel.run(HavenPanel.java:418)
   at java.lang.Thread.run(Thread.java:695)

edit: I think macs use different keycodes for key events in java, somehow. So this feature won't work for me, unless I'm mistaken. But thats fine, rest of the client is great :)

@Bampfylde
I must say that looks very odd, saying that it cant find that function. hmm...
Which brings me to my second question. Why mac? WHY! Dear god man throw that toaster out the window.

But that crash shouldn't happen its a java function that should work fine. Maybe if you use an outdated java version or corrupted version? No idea. Just try and update to the latest version of java and see if the bug goes away.

Yep, xcom has always had shitty file hosts.
The first time I tried to install his client I got a bunch of addware, you just need to click around a few things and find the hidden button that actually allows you to download the .zip file
