Depends on the problem "I" had in mind. Call it a preliminary character check.

Re: Game Client modified by Ender

Postby Noom » Sun Jun 17, 2012 3:25 am

I'm having issues launching enders on Linux, i've read through all of the posts i could find regarding enders+linux and have tried everything there. No luck so far so i'm adding yet another comment to this thread in the hopes someone can point me to the right place.

Seems the issue is enders client cant see my glueten-rt libs. I don't know whether this is because all libs are called lib(name).so in linux or they arent installed yet or something (i've searched package manager but nothing in there)... But i've tried every suggestion inside and out these forums to no avail.

FYI : I run openSUSE

I did some research on the java.library.path and modified my launcher to define it with
-Djava.library.path=/path/to/client
I also tried defining that as my /usr/jvm/libs path but neither work.

I tried renaming the libs to something similar to whats already in the /usr/libs folder but that just threw different 'file not found' errors.

Any one have any ideas at all ?

BTW This is my current launcher.. (still not working)
Code: Select all
java -Djava.library.path=/home/USER/games/hnh/ -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar /home/USER/games/hnh/haven.jar -d moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

and here's the error.
Code: Select all
ladmin@Locogamer ~/Arbeitsfläche/HnH $ ./run.sh

@mvqulik & borka

Actually, as mvqulik suggested, I searched on the previous threads and it worked. It was a drivers issue.

For some reporting : I was running 32bit Windows with the 32bit Ender and the latest Java.

Thanks guys!

@Aella

i can see you're using Java v6 - is it updated to latest which should be Version 6 Update 33 (Build 1.6.0_33-b03)?!? -> System Settings - JavaControlPanel/ApplicationInfo

Java DL urls and hints here:
http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=28086

Are you running 32Bit or 64 Bit Windows?

If it is 64Bit Windows your run.bat points to Java 64 Bit but in the screenshot i see you're using 32Bit Ender...but 64Bit Java needs 64Bit Ender
http://odditown.taggedup.com/ender/HnH_Ender_x64.zip

and hopefully you'll download the updatehttp://odditown.taggedup.com/ender/update.zip
too - just unpack it into Ender folder ...

you even might consider DLing the automatic Ender updater
http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18779594/HnH/HnH_Updater.7z and unpack into Ender...

Also edit your.bat like this (change in italic):

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

pls check all this and report back

I have updated the Ender, but it seems to not be working. I use the 32bit and when I updated I have everything, but when I get onto Haven and Hearth, it is the same. Not updated :cry:

@Chihuahua797

DL the Ender update: http://odditown.taggedup.com/ender/update.zip

unpack it into Ender folder (by overwriting existing files)

here's an image where you can see (clean unplayed) Ender folder both without and with update to compare with your folder
viewtopic.php?f=27&t=28150

There is a changelog.txt in Ender folder - latest enty:
Code: Select all
06.04.12
 * added option to show non-human gob path
, 06.04.12 that's what Ender client shows for build date too,
also you can search for a file called "version" in Ender folder that you can open with a texteditor (Notepad) - it should state: 58

If you have the updater http://dl.dropbox.com/u/18779594/HnH/HnH_Updater.7z already unpacked in your Ender folder,
you'll just need to activate it by editing your run.bat to :
Code: Select all
.\updater\HnH_updater.exe
in the first line
- in the second then should be the command to start the game...

When all this isn't working, i suggest renaming your Ender folder, DL Ender and all other too, edit run.bat for your needs and test with that when the server is up again...

Thank you! Once Haven and Hearth is back up I will see if it works and if not that will be a shame.
