Im having trouble getting the updated version, I have downloaded it but can not figure out what to do next. I'm not a computer wiz. So please help!

Also, a few things that I have problems with and my workaround/fixes:

1: Freezes whenever I log into a character, excepting if I make a new character.
Solution: One of the following.
A: After ~5 minutes or so, go to the command prompt and hit Ctrl+Break, which apparently is supposed to kill it, but for some reason sometimes fixes it.
B: Don't log into a character immediately after opening the client. Instead click login, wait on character select screen for ~10-15 minutes, then choose a character and login.

A doesn't always work, and it seems to have stopped working entirely for me more recently, but B always seems to work as long as I wait at least 15 minutes. I don't know why I need to do this, but I'm guessing it has something to do with the fact that my client takes forever to load up all the images. I have a good Internet connection and a decent computer, not the best, but still only about 4 years old.

2: (Not Client related, but may be causing some of the client problems) My Internet connection to H&H cuts out randomly about once or twice a day. Only to H&H, even the website. Even attempting to check via http://isup.me it claims that H&H is down (which I know it isn't as I've had other friends check both on isup and on the website itself and it is working just fine.
Solution: None found.

I am fairly certain that the 2nd one is my ISP, particularly because my roommate has the same problem, but if anyone else has experienced that problem, please message me with any info on it (As I don't want to derail this thread from being about Ender's obviously). Otherwise, if you have experienced it and also experienced the first problem, post here about it as there may be a connection.


All of these problems Still exist for me >.> Ugh... The problem with loading the game the first time seems to have become Even worse too and sometimes even refuses to load the character select screen now. Waited 20+ minutes and loaded it up and still froze on charstart.

IIRC a null-pointer exception is where you click on an invalid area, just don't click anything when you're porting until it's loaded.

Though personally I only have this problem when logging in.

i hope this isn't the wrong bug but i usually fix that for by deleting the belt.conf of that char,
happens only with one of my account tho

I have the client and everything,but as soon as i log in it freezes up on a black screen before i can even get to charecter creation. Need help tech impared =)

the update.zip needs to be unpacked into Ender folder (ok to overwrite files)

I have no firewall running, my antivirus is turned off, and is there something Specific in my router settings you want me to check? As nothing there should be blocking access to anything or even slowing it down. (Trying the DMZ feature as that might help, but I Doubt that's it...)

That actually worked... Taking my IP off of the NAT Firewall (DMZ feature) gave me instant load up. Even all my icons were loaded right from the start (usually have to wait a while for it to get them all loaded) Sure, it says I'm vulnerable to hacking attacks, but whatever, I can play H&H!

How do you find the full path to java :/

I have 32-bit Java and I put the path that was in the instructions but it's not working, when I run it it says "Windows cannot find the path specificed"
