clear your map folders - best way make copies to a different Harddisk or partition and delete subfolders in map, simplemap and cave folders

after done so run a manual defrag on the partition you run HnH from - (btw. when running HnH there is a lot of fragmentation going on as a lot of small files are loaded to your harddisk so it's never bad to defrag after playing HnH regularly)

I've done all that and it didn't help at all.

Ninijutsu: Please fill in this stuff. To help Borka in helping you.
- OS: Linux, Windows.
- Client: default Ender, Modded Ender. (Your post makes me wonder about that, as you said "My client".)
- Multy clienting: Yes, No(your only running one client instance when your having this problem.)
- VideoCard: Model, Type, memory. (in case FPS in this case means FramesPerSecond.)

I've found that a version of Ender that isn't updated is more likely to run OK. If I re-install and update it, I get the same lag.

My run.bat is unedited. I'll try editing it to the direct java path in case that has something to do with it.

- OS: Windows
- Client: Default, updated Ender's Client
- Multy clienting: No
- VideoCard: GeForce GTX 550 Ti 1 GB dedicated memory

In case you're also wondering, Processer is an AMD Phenom quad core clocked at 3.5 GHz

if you use default Ender run.bat there's no need to edit.

The only situations that give me "FPS lag" is at heavy paved areas ( hello my trade friends ) or thickets. But that's what i had with all Ender versions before too. I don't see anything in Ender changelog that could be a reason for different behaviour between the last 2 versions.
Using a tool like Fraps http://www.fraps.com/download.php showing /Logging FPS might give a clue...

You may disable "Triple Buffering" at your Nvidia OpenGL 3D settings.

Triple buffering is already disabled, and when I turn on FRAPS during the lag and scroll all the way out, I get 1-3 FPS. Normally I get 30~ FPS zoomed out.

@Ninijutsu

weird - you're sure it's not the server lag causing that?!?

Well i don't find any general issues with the 550ti and java (games) on the web so i think it's not a reason.

Personally i'd setup a fresh windows on another partition ( i always have a spare for such) and only install Drivers, Windows updates with (http://www.wsusoffline.net/) Iso + MS Update , latest Java, FF with NoScript and some tools (sysinternals, filealyzer and some testtools) and the software i want to check...
