Not everyone is a computer nerd on the internet, i really dont wanna mess around with codes and stuff that i know nothing about, nor have any clue how to.

Really, in case you're unable to use a plain text editor your internet privileges need to be revoked for good.

Really, well thats just another smartass comment from yet another computer nerd that seem to feel a need to assert himself hence stomping on someone elses computer knowlage taking for granted what non computer nerds actually know or not know about computers and coding over all. It's literally as simple as typing a web address into your browser window. If you are really having that hard of a time with it then I don't know what to tell you.

How about a simple guide then?
Go to your game folder, rightclick the file called "run" or "run.bat", and click edit.
You'll see something like:

Code: Select all

java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar sw.seatribe.se

Replace the last bit, so it says moltke.seatribe.se, for example:

java -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

Save it, and then play as usual.

It's really hard to mess anything up. If something goes wrong, you can always re-download the client.

Well my personal issue was solved several ours ago now, with a little help from my friends . so dont worry about me.

And for the love of god i know how to use a notepad and all that , im just lousy at computers in general and especially coding stuff and finding out where and what to change, everyone was saying change it in your run.bat file, so i was trying to locate something that was called run.bat file wich there is no such file called exaktley that i might add. and i was trying to click my run window thingy wich just opened the client window offcourse and was not able to change any text there in the cmd window either. i keept looking for that run.bat file and so on and so on, until a friend told me i could stop looking for that run.bat file, he said that the run file i was clicking on the first time was most likley the file i was looking for and suppose to change, and all i had to do was just to right click the run file and choose edit, and voila i finally had somewhere to add the code. So simple, IF you know it.

Basically, knowlage that some people take for granted, might just be incomprehesive for people that dont normally do things like that.

I still hope the client will be updated though. it is a shame if it will be forgotten and gone to waste.

Too bad I was a few hours late, but yeah, I understand how something can be hard if you don't know where to look. My issue with threads like this is usually the numerous different solutions that are posted for other people, up to the point where you have no idea which solution applies to your specific problem.
Oh and ignore the other guys. That was honestly just uncalled for.

As me sees it, haven-res should be rewritten with new one. But me has no clue about how does one cut out new haven-res from the official client.
