Re: Daji's Graphic mod - Oak tree

Thanks you all, It's time consuming to "redo" those things, I hope it'll fit and please people

Birch Tree (adult stage)
I like those kind of trees, so I wanted to redo them before finishing the Oak, and to change my mind a bit too

Adding some testing color for a pious wish, for some seasons matching, like Autumn/Winter, etc
But I know this not gonna happen in H&H because it'll change the growing stage of some trees, like the apple one

and a testing/mock-up ingame

edit : add seasons variations pictures

For once I have to agree with butko ;)

They are not in your graphics pack yet, are they? I always replace each file manuall due to having a few other modded things and it is tedious to search through it each time.

My only complaint is the oak tree's shadow, which is diagonal, as opposed to the other shadows in the game. Don't get me wrong, the tree looks great (especially the leafs), but the shadow just doesn't really fit.
Keep in mind that's just my opinion.

The other stuff is, as always, excellent.

She will make all trees new and she can also make new shadows for other stuff. Shush, it's good as it is, maybe some minor, very very minor, corrections but we must wait for final version...

The shadows look creepy like that, he has a point.

Shadows are also however a separate file, and hopefully Daji is keeping the files separate, so it shouldn't be a problem to leave in the old shadow file yourself.

very nice birch, kinda want to keep the second version just to make broadleafs more colorful and lively

in fact, making broadleaf forests autumnal would make a good reason to change their ground to something distinctive, at the moment both forest tiles look too similar to tell the difference

I love the birch tree. :)

But the stump of the oak tree looks off-perspective, and the leaves' solid dark outline makes them look jaggy.

Nope, they aren't into files, I'll make a separate pack for the trees (a complete pack, not type by type, I don't want 10 zip files more)
I add them into files when all stages are finish, it won't make really sense without all pictures

You're right, I was trying to test a "new" type of shadows but I guess it's too complex to redo them because of the canvas size of original files

Autumn leaves, for a more brownish floor? that's make an idea, I'll think about it when It'll come to the other one

But what I would love to see, it's a more realistic forest, I mean differents growings stage and news youngs sprouts growing on their owns within a radius of others trees, some dead logs recover by leaves and mushrooms
