I do not have an anti-virus or firewall. However I did get a new ISP and router. The default client works however. It's only Ender's that crashes.

EDIT: I messed around with my router's settings, to no avail. HOWEVER. I deleted the "belt" configs as a friend suggested. That fixed the problem.

Check your firewall (brandmauer) settings. It is very likely that your malware removal tool has changed it.
