Are these false hits or do the slice-less pings and Direction / Delta numbers mean something?

After a little playing, direction looks like a degree. Standing west of a known vein, I got -90ish, and standing north of the same vein I got -180ish. If 0 is north, those would point you in the right direction. The Delta is probably used to figure out how big of a pie slice the dousing pie should show.

This is all spur of the moment speculation, though.

That was the speculation I made earlier in thread. It was verified that direction is in degrees with 0 orient north.

The speculation I made was that delta was a measure of the depth of pie slice, tho it could be in degrees or in some unknown unit.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

Have you tried to read OP or look at change logs?

Great! The Angle Delta is in Degrees.

Can the OP be updated to include a brief explanation of certain features, for newcomers ( and also those of us who play drunk some night and forget what the hell delta is?;) )?

Of particular interest to newbies is how to work the Hidden Objects functionality - apparently some users are too lazy to go find Gil's client to figure out what its features do and how they work. But really just a basic usage of certain non-obvious functions would be kinda nice.

Also, I've had an odd quirk when running your client Ender.
It seems when I launch it, I have the cmd prompt set to do a "start" command for launching the client - which is NOT something I have Gilbertus' client doing, and after logging in, I come up to the screen, but control commands WILL NOT work immediately. I must click in the screen somewhere, then use my control command (Like Ctrl+N for Night, H for hide, etc).

Is this loss of activation focus something in my computer or is that expected in some way?

new version. Minimap updates mostly:
  • dowsing/prospecting direction message now has ° symbol next to numbers, to indicate that this is degrees.
  • changed * to • in Unordered List formatting in wiki browser
  • added ability to scroll minimap. Just drag map with mouse. To center it on player press button with green circle on minimap panel.
  • added grid to minimap. To toggle it press button with red grid on minimap panel.
  • added zoom to minimap. Use + and - buttons on minimap panel.

P.S. Less than 5° angle drawing is still bugged.

I've been experiencing some issues with the client where it is working just fine and then all of the sudden it freezes up. I click off-screen or Alt + Tab to something else and go back and it has returned to normal.

I'm not sure why it started happening now but it just seems a little odd. It's like a client lag or something since the game its self seems to be working normally when I click off the client and go back. I never need to re-log and it doesn't crash.

Just freezes.
