Having the same issue, also double clicking updater by default opens it as a notepad file by default, I have to rightclick, open with Java(TM) Platform SE Binary
Fixed my problem, made java the default open option and everything started working.
What does everyone mean by the updater? I downloaded the "updater" in the OP and now I have a "haven-updater-0.1b" file, you can't run that it's just a regular file it has more files in it.
The first file that's in "haven-updater-0.1b" is a file named ".externalToolBuilders" inside of which it a LAUNCH file named "updater_jar", is that what everyone is referring to as the updater? I've tried opening it with Java(TM) Platform SE Binary and a black window resembling Sys.32 flashes on the screen.
I found another possibility, going to haven-updater-0.1b>src>org>ender>updater there's several files, there's:
IUpdaterListener
Main
Updater
UpdaterConfig
All are Java files, you could be referring to "Updater" here but the problem is it tries to open it with wordpad and I can't just say "open with Java", I have to specify a program I want to use to open it with and I can't find "Java", if I click on Java from the Programs Files (x86) it goes Java>jre7 , here you'll find two files the first labeled "bin" the second "lib" and 7 others constituting legal documentation and product information.
going Java>jre7>bin leads to a very long list, three files are at the top reading "client", "dtpplugin" and "plugin2", the vast majority of the other files are varying executable or internal files, MANY of these read "Java(TM) Platform SE Binary" when hovered over in the "choose which program to open the file with" menu and none are actually called Java(TM) Platform SE Binary.
So what do I do here?
