alright read the guide but I must be blind or not doing this right. enders post tells me to download the updater.jar thing. Download it and it's just a white page icon. I try to open it and it says I don't have the program necessary to open it. I have java installed and up to date and it's 32bit windows if that helps.

The updater.jar icon should look like this;

In order to run this you need java. If you already have properly installed java you shouldn't encounter any problems.

that's odd im about 100% positive I have java installed, checked the site on how to check it etc, and it says its installed but the updater is still a blank page icon

Please check if you java folder.

32 Bit Java Path "C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre7\bin\javaw.exe"
64 Bit Java Path "C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe"

Alright apparently it's 64 bit? But when I do the whole windows key pausebreak deal it says I'm 32 bit. It's under the second path you sent me C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe. Sorry about this not so good at computers really.

download 32 or 64 bits java and install.

Told me I had it installed, So went ahead and let it reinstall.
