HnH Cartographer - app to create local maps

I know ahead of time I will be greifed for this post, but I cannot figure out how to run mapping tool. I downloaded the hnhcartographer3.jar file, but I dont know how to open/run it.

I am interested in mapping, if I could just get tool working.

World map thread is for World map only and not local maps...

normally you open a jar file by doubleclicking...

guess why nobody posted in here since Jun 16, 2012 ...

also as far as i remember you need to make a copy of your mapfolder as this tool deletes processed without warning

Wish I had found this earlier it would of saved me a lot of hassle.

Edit: does it just map out the maps you currently got or does it have others built into it to view more of the map?

Like if you use one client then switch to another does it take the maps from both clients and combine them?

Anywho, i've found that Enders "Salem map tool" works perfectly, will edit with link if i find it.
