I'm trying to get loftar's fresh code to merge it, but having problems. Git says:

Cloning into D:\Ender\workspace\loft\client...
sh.seatribe.se[0: ]: errno=Invalid argument
fatal: unable to connect a socket (Invalid argument)

So I can't get it. As soon as I get new code I will merge it and upload new version.

EDIT: Oh, I've found that repository temporarily moved to github. Already merged code. When server is up I will test it and if all OK will post update.

Looking forward to it thanks dude i know it would of saved my life from that dam bear hiding behind the tree!
I fully look forward to jorb and loftar fixing several mechanics and bringing back updates, because at that time you chuckleheads are going to be more marginalized than lawn furniture in winter.

Taking the "start" away from the line worked for me.

suggestion;

prob nothing many people haven't thought already.
an onscreen toolbelt just for study items. easier to monitor it while you play, rather then having to pop up the menu every 20 minutes wondering if things are done.

I've created test version of client updater. And to test it's capabilities made minor update to client - now it's possible to change Google API key in options->translate. For now this update available only through updater.
Updater could be found here. To install it just extract contents of archive into game folder and add this line as first line in your run.bat:

I'm awaiting feedback on updater. Working-not working, good-bad, suggestions and advices.

P.S. Now it won't work if you are behind proxy. Later will add proxy support and settings.

It works, creating a .zip file called "Update" in the main directory for you to copy and paste, and everything seems to be in order. The only thing is, after applying this update, I had to remove the line from my run.bat in order to play again. It's a little tedious, but i'd say it's a great first attempt.

P.S. I like the new in-game wiki and other minor updates. ^_^

you don't need to extract update.zip - updater already done this. Archive left just in case.

That's strange - updater shouldn't mess with game starting. If it don't find updates (or some error occurs) - it just finishes and game starts. If it finds update - game starts after update.

Is there a map stitcher that works with the new version.I had one that worked with the older version I was using but the file names have changed and it does not work.
