one of my villagers saw black after porting, pressig home did nothing. changing camera views to borderless however did work, but thats a kind of shitty workaround to have to toggle that back and forth.

whever it happens, an arrow points back to the player as if we have borderless view and we no longer have the player on the screen. so basically its displaying an area of the map that is black that is super far away from the character.

I have recently gotten that when entering house.

edit in a new line just containing the word
Code: Select all
pause
into run.bat

That way CMD window stays open and shows possible error messages - copy or screenshot and post

Prolly your run.bat has the wrong path to Java or the Bit versions differ

the path to java is not set in environment so you need to give it with run.bat

look at my SIG for an example how a Java Path should look - and how to differ 32 Bit Java and 64 Bit Bit pathes (with a x64 client you need 64 Bit Java)

Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res
pause

might be the proper one for you - if it works you can edit out
Code: Select all
pause
line

When I get some time I'll try edit op to include some simple trouble-shooting guides to relieve some of the questions repeatedly getting asked relating to client bugs.

There are also a few suggestions that I have gotten relating directly to scripting. I will try see how hard a scripting engine will be to add and make a separate scripting client based on this one. But right now I will try leave this particular client script free as in the sense that nothing procedural will be added other then the few ones that are in there now. As a rule thumb, any task that needs more then 2 basic procedural tasks will be avoided as to avoid making direct scripts.

The bugs relating to the camera and water drinking have honestly been a bit of a pain to track down. I will try add a bug tracking method for anyone interested to help track them. As of right now I haven't been able to pinpoint the bug as I can't replicate the bugs and therefore impossible for me to fix.

But exams awaits so will pick this up after a few days.
