Ditto, it's a beaut. Thanks dude(ette).

A number of possibilities:
One: The server is lagged. The map won't show up immediately in the minimap if it is. Give it time, it should show up. If not, there are other threads that have discussed that.

Two: You open map.html and get a blank - check through other numbered folders in the "maps" directory - if you see ones with content, then likely you are opening map.html after closing Gilbertus - for some reason it changes the "currentsession" to a new folder when doing that sometimes.

Inside my "map" folder, I only have map.html :\

Huh, funky. Make sure to download the latest version of Gilbertus, the one linked in the is.gd links at the first post (Marked as 32-bit or 64-bit) (those are the ones I use) and make sure your Java is the newest - it SHOULD work - it's worked on XP, Vista, and 7 machines so far.

Hope that helps. See what that does.

You won't be saying that in a week or two when you realize how many abandoned homes there are. A 30 second boat ride south of my village literally bring you to the ghetto. There's abandoned claims everywhere with the occasional newb taking things and raiders patrolling. It reminds me of Detroit.

Is it possible to intergrate the irc into Gilbertus' client? I would like to use the IRC while mapping, but Pacho's client is outdated and the mapper no longer works. Any help or links is appreciated.

It'll take going through Pacho's code, Gil's code, and trying to integrate them and build the interface functionality. It's NOT easy to patch Java around -- also, as it's Java, doing IRC is going to seriously bulk up the client - possibly to the point where after a few hours the 32-bit one may hit a memory ceiling.

So that's a question.

Check the contents of your run.bat - if they are "sh.seatribe.se" change to "moltke.seatribe.se" - check the tshooting thread linked in the first post in thread, also make sure Username is capitalized exactly the same - first place i've seen where username is case-sensitive.

Thanks. It worked.

I've been using the updated ones and the most recent version of Java, still no cigar D:

Here's a question: Where do you have the Gilbertus client folder located? If it's in Program Files, remove that (uninstall?) and extract a copy of the zip to somewhere you have full ownership to (the desktop for example). If you're in Windows Vista or 7, there's write protections on Program Files and various other system folders, which would prevent the map files and folders being written.

So like... where does this hh-update.zip come from? Shortly after downloading the client I was able to hide bushes and trees for hunting and foraging, but it stopped working after a few days. I've searched around the forums and such, and even tried to trace my way back through the files java downloads to find it on the server, but no dice in either case. I'd really like to be able to hide stuff again.

I just figured the hide options didn't work until I logged out, but I never bothered to try that. So in short, apparently I have the same problem as you. :P
