I had that like twice with the default client, never with Gil's. Check your java version, etc,etc,etc. Check periodically at the black command prompt window to see what messages are returned from run.bat - there may be a zillion errors in there about memory?

As it is Java, yes the client will work sufficiently on Mac.

You will need to look at the run.bat and try to decode what the command to run Java is for your Mac, write up a .sh script and set it executable, and have it run the command similar to how it's run in Windows.

Sadly, I don't have specific knowledge of how to do so - Mac is like Linux only more obfuscated - so maybe someone else here knows how to.

In your bat file it may say, at the end of the 2nd line or whatever, sh.seatribe.se -- if so, change to moltke.seatribe.se

Otherwise, follow the troubleshooting steps at the first post of the Tshooting thread linked in the first post of this thread, then follow the instructions regarding posting information to that thread, and you should see support there.

Hello,

I'm new to the game and couldn't find info on this looking at the first 10 pages of this thread. Is there any way to keep your charicter centered at all times in the client? Or do you have to walk to the edges before it will start moving the map?

Thanks

Use the fixator camera mode, located in camera tab in your settings, this isn't always centered, but wherever you place the camera, it stays in relation to your character. This is the one i use all the time, it's the best imo.

Try editing your run.bat by adding this on a new line;
Code: Select all
pause

This should pause the run.bat until the next command, which should be closing it, or the error message, whatever it may be. If this works, get a screen of it, and perhaps someone can help you.

This depends.

Is your graphics card shit? If so, it can't handle larger and larger resolutions of OpenGL-in-a-window.

Could be a number of reasons. Do updates on all software involved, then take two and call in the morning.
