Thanks
Is the modded minimap supposed to be cleared each time the client is run? I've noticed the minimaps save in timestamped files, but they aren't loaded when the client is run..

Yes, it works as intended. each time you login server randomizes coordinates it sends to you, so there is no easy way to tell what coord in current session should minimap from previous session have.

So, there's no way that your client could store the location of the character, its hearthfire, and its village totem on the maps that were previously generated, say, in a text file, and load the map using stored coordinates based on what the player has selected as a login option? If the server sends garbage coordinates, simply don't use them in your mapper except as relative coordinates. Viable?

Hm. That's some interesting idea. I will give some thinking to it. But what happens to char if it is summoned to hearthfire (or free summon, if he has no hearthfire) while offline but was not killed? Where he will be logged in? And this would mean different maps for different chars. But this worth thinking.

Would it perhaps be possible for the client to use natural structures (lakes, hills, rivers) to match what minimap it is currently looking at? If no match is found, generate a new map. Lakes, hills and rivers can't be terraformed by players so perhaps the client can make use of that, I have no idea how that would be possible though.

Is there any way, while Walls are hidden and the Show hidden is enabled, for it to show damaged sections of walls in a different color? I know that if you have Walls Shown and use the Control X that it does that, but I like the Red Square feature. Is there a way for the red squares to be altered to show damage like the xray function does? That would be awesome, as well as make it easier to farm behind walls and see sections in need of repair without having to toggle a few options

I'm working on an alternate wallset that would let people display walls without being major pain in the ass.
Here are the first few sprites :

I'll release it once I have found out how to pack them correctly in the jar.

Afterwards I'll try to do something like that for buildings, so that they don't go too high and hide what's behind.

I realize it's not the topic, just trying to give a possible solution for the wall problem you have :).

I never said I invented it. But no one was kind enough to release it before to my knowledge.
