Deleted the IRC attribute in config... but it still wanted to login . The attribute poped up again in config.
Turned off the client before it logged completly.

oh sorry, I meant deleting everything inside the quotes. It defaults the server address to irc.synirc.net if it can't find anything about a server.

Worked. It didn't connect... the client didn't crash my internet connection.

yeah it seems I forgot to make a few checks when I modified the save format. It'll be fixed on the next release.

Can you do something about the impossible to read colors? A contrasting background or some such?

Linux Command:

/usr/lib/java/bin/java -Djava.library.path=/path/to/pachosclient/ -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar /path/to/pachosclient/haven.jar -d sh.seatribe.se

Adjust according to where you have the client and java on your distro.

Hi,

I've been having the same problem with the new client for a good couple of weeks now, (client would freze, and then internet connection would die) and i just got it working with the fix listed above. Looks like something in the irc/java process is flooding the network stack perhaps? I'm running win xp 32 bit (sp3) with latest sun java. I just downloaded the latest w32 zip tonight and latest patch so if a fix has been applied it isn't working in all cases.

Yeh, there's something going terribly bad in the irc code, I haven't looked at it at all so I have no idea why it would hit some people and not others.
