normally you wouldn't have to - did Java 7 install gave a success message?

then go on with the other steps given

open Java Control Panel (javacpl.exe) -> Security tab

change Java security settings by making exceptions
viewtopic.php?f=2&t=37713#p497917

now please just make a folder called Ender on Desktop
drop in the updater.jar into that Ender folder and run it by doubleclicking

when client starts we're fine and you can create a run.bat

Code: Select all
"C:\Program Files)\Java\jre7\bin\java.exe" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

Need halp please! I can use the normal client but not ender's, nor anemone and apoc lite.
The issue is, even though it runs and I can login, when i select my char and play it, it freezes, with some part of the world like buildings, cliff, some crops and even my clothes not yet rendered, the ground is just pitch black, and most importantly I can't even move. It seems like the CPU java use jump instantly to 90-99% in task manager and end up not responding. Is ender's client really this heavy? Since when i use normal client i only takes 2% at most. Or maybe I'm doing it wrong, I dunno, you wizards tell me. :?

This is my run.bat
"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

Tried adding pause there, and while CMD windows does stay, it doesn't add any extra lines since it doesn't really crash or terminated, H&H just freezes.

I'm using a really oooooooooooooollldddd computer.
Windows Xp 32-bit (yes people, i still use XP)
jre1.8.0_31 32 bit
Intel pentium4 2,4GHZ
Nvidia Geforce GT 220
RAM 3 GB

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

"C:\Program Files\Java\jre1.8.0_31\bin\javaw.exe" -Xms128m -Xmx256m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se
pause

you might try with this run.bat (heap memory halfed)

also check in Nvidia Controls - 3D Settings:
Triple Buffering -- off
Threaded Optimizing -- off

also i'd suggest not to use fullscreen but windowed mode resized to your needs

FIrst off, thank you for the reply!
Triple Buffering was indeed off.
Threaded Optimizing was set to auto, changed to off.
it still doesn't seem to work though , it still freezes. Well ig ot my clothes rendered this time, so that's something.
Even tried to half it further to -Xms64m -Xmx128m (though i don't even know if it's still a valid command lel) still doesn't work either.
Even tried top use razer game booster (basically shutting down any irrelevant program to save clock power) but, still the same thing.
I might be stuck with the vanilla client if my engines just don't cut out for it, maybe you got any other shot worth trying?

Why don't you do yourself and learn a bit on the way?

Step 1: gather Information
What is your OS in what Bit version?
What is your Java in what Bit version and what's the path to it?

Step 2:
check Java Security Settings
http://www.havenandhearth.com/forum/vie ... 13#p497917

Step 3:
create a folder called Ender, download updater.jar and put it into Ender folder
run updater.jar by doubleclicking it

Step4: create a run.bat (you need the Java info from Step1)

ender client command help...

Postby Phinix » Wed Jan 28, 2015 9:29 pm

Just wondering what key commands do you need to do to shorten cupboards and some other commands on the keyboard that can help me out?

I already know
Ctrl + n turns darkness off on
Ctrl + g brings up the tile grid
Ctrl + h hides objects that have been checked off

If there is a link can you post it so I can see some commands please?

Thanks for your help and reading my post.
