Hello, I downloaded the updater.jar file and ran it in a folder. Nothing happened, can you tell me what I did wrong? I set it to winrar and java web explorer before hand because it was telling me to find a program to run it with, and it took me a bit before I found the actual java. I'm sick of playing in windowed mode.

jar files need to be run by Java (bin/java.exe) - make it standard program to open jar files

normally you'd just double click updater.jar - it opens a window to show you what happens

Java 8 - manually downloads - good to check for actual versions url here:

So, when I run updater a command prop shows up for like half a second and says this: "Error: Could not find or load main class (my game directory)." Also, when I run autohaven no other files show up in the directory (idk if they are supposed to i'm just saying).

I am fairly new to the game and very mod illiterate. I am looking at ender's client file info at github. Two options clone in desktop and/or download zip. I have already downloaded the updater.jar into a desktop folder. Running windows 8.1. Question is which download option?. Please

updater.jar downloaded with no issues and game opened automatically. Do I need to download anything else? Sorry for all the questions, but I linked back to the beginning of the topic, where it has the updater link and the client link. I have downloaded the updater, just not the client.

With running the updater.jar you download the whole client

So no need to download anything else - you may create a run.bat (Windows), run.command (OsX) or run.sh (Linux) to start the game without having to run the updater.
i.e. on Windows 64 Bit with Java 64 Bit and 64 Bit Ender (amd64)
Code: Select all
"C:\Windows\Program Files\Java\jre - your version\bin\java.exe"  -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se

The github files are the source code for the client - not needed to play

Thank you borka for the reply. I have no idea what to do with the code you added there. Am I to create a new file? Add to updater folder? Where do I put the code? Do I include the quotation marks? So many questiions, so little coffee
