Thanks to this, I figured it out.
You have to download the correct gluegen natives (linked above) and unpack it into your HnH folder.
Then download the correct JOGL:
http://download.java.net/media/jogl/jsr ... -amd64.jar
http://download.java.net/media/jogl/jsr ... x-i586.jar
and again unpack the contents of the .jar into your HnH folder (.jar is basically a zip file)

now run you launcher.sh file and it should just work. Only thing missing for me is ender's autoupdater but he's said that's windows only (for now) anyway.

Try installing the icedtea plugin - It's an alternative java plugin... It helped my over all performance with most java apps including haven.

P.S: My Apologies, I have only now just realised it was earlier in the thread.
I had a retardedly huge signature and have gotten this embarrassing replacement to show for it.

I run a few, though it's been a while since I booted into them :3

- Ubuntu 9.10 / Kubuntu 11.04
- OpenSUSE
- A barely functioning Gentoo :3

I've actually had almost no problems getting haven to run on all of my Distros, except Gentoo, but I'm certain that's my lack of knowledge and dodgy setup.
Just switch the libraries over from the gilbertus client and change the run.sh file and away you go, I even have it set to start haven on boot :3

I have noticed the performance is much better on my Win7 Build though

Specs:

CPU: i7 960
RAM: 6GB DDR3
GPU: 2 X ATI Radeon HD 6970's

As you can see, I shouldn't struggle with performance at all with the hardware I have, I'd say it probably comes down to drivers and utilization of said hardware..

What distro are you running and do you have any tips for getting better performance fore haven/java applications?

I have JRE and iced-tea-plugin installed for Linux Mint. This is my run.sh:

Code: Select all
java -Djava.library.path="/home/fuckface/Desktop/HnH_Ender_x64/LIBS" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar /home/fuckface/Desktop/HnH_Ender_x64/haven.jar -d moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

I have all of the libjogl and gluegen .so files in a folder named LIBS within my Haven folder. As you can see above, the library path points to that LIB folder, and this works for the GLUEGEN.so. However, I keep getting the error :

Code: Select all
Exception in thread "Haven main thread" java.lang.UnsatisfiedLinkError: no jogl in java.library.path

...everytime I try running the game, although I have the JOGL .so files in the correct library path. Borka, what's wrong? :D

EDIT: Figured it out. The link to JOGL i clicked on in this thread is outdated; got the latest JOGL.jar and unpacked into my LIB folder, and it works great.
