Aye, Ender's has nothing to do with it.
A client is just something used to connect to the game server. The client only reads and displays what the server tells it to. Additionally, the client sends requests to the server such as to open up the inventory panel so the server can tell the client what to display....or requests to move your character to a new tile or do something with something (like open a chest or punch an ant).
A client in no way can modify what is on the server...unless there's a bug in the server code allowing a client to send UN-intended server commands to hack what is on the server. Although possible, I highly doubt someone would use it to nefariously alter the number of level X deer. They would use it for something else much more beneficial and sinister. Well, unless they really really and I mean REALLY fucking hate deer--then I guess it's probable and would help us find the person that made this image:
