Modded Crop Texture Help

I've been looking for a mod for crop textures that would create an even, flat, clickable surface for all crops. For instance, carrots would appear as a flat box that had a letter C, and a number 4, to signify their growth stage. The reason I am looking for this is because the non uniformity of the click boxes is driving me nuts when I have to click 2-3 times to get the game to register and harvest the plant. I want a uniform box that will trigger the harvest no matter where I click while inside of the single box.

Can this be done, or has it already been done?

Thanks for the quick reply. I had a little trouble getting everything working for my mac, but it appears that your simplified crops are showing up after all. Not sure all other features work (I know the claim menu doesn't work for me)
