Frozen Char Selection

Postby GaraDasha » Fri Jun 08, 2012 7:28 pm

This is weird. I used to play without single problem.
I can log in to my account but i cannot start the game (going to hearthfire or last logout spot).
I cannot creat a new char as well the screen gets frozen.

My java is updated. I updated ender as well 06.04.12. I tried it on a different pc and it works but not on my main one.
I tried clearing java cache, didn't help.
I tried to play the game by logging in from the site and pressing play but it can't download it anyway.
I've seen other people posting about it but no answers.

Help please if possible :)

Can you pls try:

Rename existing Ender Folder

Download Ender again and update, edit your run.bat if needed, best put in pause argument into a new line

Don't copy anything from renamed Ender folder into new one yet!

Run from new Ender Folder

Report back pls

What graphic card? Got latest drivers?

The same exception had been an issue for some other players before but sadly they didn't posted more nor got helpfull answers...strangly enough it also happens in Salem Beta...

edit your run.bat like this (bold is new)

"C:\Program Files (x86)\Java\jre6\bin\java.exe" -Xms256m -Xmx512m -jar haven.jar moltke.seatribe.se -r ./res

Well im using ATI 3800 HD.. i used to have latest version but after Diablo3 release, thanks to graphic glitches, I was forced to change my version from 12.4 to 9.3..

So I must decide which game to play -.-'

Are you 100% sure that driver update will fix it? If yes, I'll be in trouble :)

I am not sure 100% that it fixes it - so better leave it for now for D3...

But i wonder why you had to go back to 9.3 ?!? I'll do some research...and don't worry if it takes some time as my internet connection (3G UMTS) gets lost inbetween and i have to restart it ;)
