System requirements for running H&H

Hi all

Even it is hard to believe, lightning stroke near my home and ruined lots of my stuff, now Im using an old PC until I can get my somewhat new one to be fixed or buy new.
The game is running awfully slow, lag seems a joke compared to this.

I want to know if this PC is ok for running H&H in a somewhat playable way, because I have not used this pc in long time so idk, but I remember playing games on it and running ok. Or I just stop and let my cattle die until I get another pc.

I have:
Celeron (R) CPU 2.13 Ghz 1,00 GB Ram NVIDIA GForce FX 5200
Windows XP 2002 Service pack 2
Java test: Java working ok and lastest version installed.
Config: Java SE Update 09 Windows XP 5.1 32

Maybe I should try an older version of Java?, or I can do something to improve my machines performance?, maybe it is ok for H&H and just need to reinstall the programms?. Ideas?.

Oh Cranny i feel with you!

1. I'm not sure about your Graphic Card - NVIDIA GForce FX 5200 which is very old and due to it's low memory (32 -64 MB max) very slow

2. 1GB Ram isn't that much - you need to have only Java and HnH running - nothing else like browser besides it. If you know how disable autruns (i.e. jqs.exe, jusched. exe, ...) do so, as everything there get's stored in Ram, also switch to Classic Desktop and no Background image... uninstall Adobe Reader if you have it, also uninstall Antivirusprograms unless it's MS Security Essentials (uses less resources then all others)...after uninstalling AV - DL MSSE and install

if you have more than one Harddisk move the swap file to the second one - that way the swap can be read and written at the same time...give it a fixed size of 4096

I used to play on a Notebook with similar specs when i started with HnH - there was no lag back then but i very fast setup a PC from spare parts...
