Russian game client

Postby SirArthur13 » Fri May 17, 2013 7:16 pm

Hello. First, I'd like to thank the developers for adding cyrillic script to the game. It made possible to write on Runestones. This game is very interesting, but not for solo-playing. I d like to play with some of my friends, who don't speak english, but they can't understand neither skill descriptions, nor items names. My offer is very simple: send me all text-containing core files and I'll translate them into russian. I don't think there is a lot of text in the game, so I'll be able to do this In a day or two. Is it possible?

If you want to translate skills and tooltips all you have to do is extract the resource files, edit them and then repack them. see viewtopic.php?f=27&t=23458 for details on how to do extract and repack.

The layers that you need to worry about are "tooltip", "pagina", and "action".

No problem, the resource files cover most of the game's text. Anything that it doesn't cover most likely is hardcoded into the client source code (which is also open source if you want to change that and recompile the client).

One last thing, make sure the text is in UTF-8 encoding otherwise you'll end up with squares and errors.
