World 7 Maps do yourself

Postby valakas46 » Tue Jun 04, 2013 12:54 pm

I would have added this to the other world 7 map thread but it was locked.

You can use this salem mapping tool to make a map of your local area.

I've tried it and now have a good map of where I have been.

cool hint! ty - (you need .Net 3.5 on your PC)

World 7 mapping title is reserved for World map - not local maps

Note:
will get confused by open water (maps with tiles of only water), as they are all identical

Because of this It will also have problems with cave and simple-map output. (so be careful when trying it out on those map types.)

This does not seem to work for me. When i launch the program it seems to find the map folders, but then the java program itself are just a few blank white windows with a merger and delete button, nothing more.

I get a bunch of Salem files, but see no H&H. Using Mac OSX.

it worked for me. when the 'browse' window opens. you choose you 'maps' folder. press open
and then on a bottom list press merge
and then the complete map is on top left corner.

I've managed to merge my maps, but is there a way to save this completed version as one big map for viewing? Mine is still broken up into hundreds of map tiles. I feel like I'm missing something really simple here.

After you download the merger tool that is near the top of the Russian post and merge the map tiles you also need to download a file near the bottom of the Russian post that will open the merged files. After downloading it just open it go to top left click session select import and make your way to your h&h map folder and select to open the merge folder. You now have a map.
Check me out on Twitch! I stream many different games and it may seem my channel is inactive but that is because I am now restarting streaming! (Click the image :D)

http://forum.salemthegame.com/viewtopic ... 7db2b6c7d7

after merge i drop in map.html and currentsession.js into merged folder, edit folder name in currentsession.js, open map.html in browser - use zoom - and screenshot it for offline use
