Simple-Ground-Tiles (v1)(Juli 2013) [MOD]

My take on ... something.
SimpleGroundTiles.txt wrote:Simple-Ground-Tiles (v1)(Juli 2013)

Game: Heaven and Hearths.
Type: Game graphic modification/simplification.
Modder: MvGulik

This will show the game world ground in simple tiles mode. Mainly created as personal test case.
+ will load the initial game view faster. (a lot less ground images to load/process.)
+ Also give a little FPS boost. (less ground images to process.)
+ Has its own lite tile-grid applied to the images.

Install:
- Just extract the content of the archive(rar) into the clients "custom_res" folder.
-- Ender client or Ender related/forked clients.
-- No "custom_res" folder in client folder. Just create it.

Mod detail: (simple version)
- Removed all secondary ground tile images. (the ones that make the ground look les tile like.)
- Adjusted the tileset layer to account for this.
- Clipped the (generally) not used parts of the tile images. (making it match up the game tiles/tiling.)
- Also moved the tiles a bit to make them match up the game tiles/tiling.

Additional:
- Mod cleanup/uninstall batch. (Windows)
(Note: Cleanup batch will also cleanup itself.)

DOWNLOADS: (Current available variations)
- HnH_ResMod_SimpleGroundTiles_by_MvGulik.rar - (+LiteGrid, +Uninstall batch, +Readme) - See borka post below for in-game screenshots.
- NoGrid_tmp.rar - (NoGrid, ResFilesOnly)
- SimpleGround_DotFix.rar - (DotFix, NoGrid, ResFilesOnly)
- FlatNoGrid_tmp.rar - (Nogrid, Single color tiles (still 32bit RGBA images)) - Just some test case.

Nope, just single ground image tile.
I doubt that making the tile images one color would give a serious FPS boots.
... I might give it a try, just for the fun of it. But not today.

Erm. ;)

Mmm. single color ... might look better though.

Is there a way to get rid of the tile-grid?

Yes. I put it on my todo list as separate/additional variation.
