Can't get Mediafire downloads working

Whenever I try to download any mod from mediafire it will pop up with this window saying track and download records. it has the file I want to download and says open, or save. When I click open it will pop up a different window of the same thing. So then tried save and saved it to my desktop, and tried to open it. Well it still popped up with that same window of the open/save. Is there any way to fix this?

can you post a screenshot please - so it's more understandable

also make sure your browser ( or Addon like NoScript) isn't blocking mediafire and ajax.googleapis

i just tried http://www.mediafire.com/download/wk2zg ... ardres.zip
in top right is a big green button "download" - i click and my Firefox browser downloads it
without opening any other windows...

Ok, I can post a screen but when I hit prt scr where does the pic go? I've looked all over for it but cant find it. Though how would I check if something is blocking mediafire?

you need to paste it into a paint or some other imageprogramm...after pressing print it's just in the clipboard which is virtual...

I guess the window shown is your browsers download manager...what browser are you using?

yep the window is showing Internert explorer download manager - you need to save (and prolly choose the location with the arrow ?)

If that doesn't work, try using another browser, Chrome of Firefox. It could just be a browser issue.

Also, there was a problem a few years ago with mediafire, similar to yours, I looked it up and heres a page on how to (possibly) fix it: http://topkpop.wordpress.com/2010/05/10 ... d-problem/

I probably should have been more clear on the title, it will let me download most of mediafire downloads, but it will not download the wolf cape mod or the girl red merchant robe that zmurrell did. But I'm downloading firefox right now to see if that was the problem.





Edit: Nope it is still doing the same thing on firefox as it was on internet explore
