Depends on your OsX and your Java installed - if you have Java downloaded from Oracle it's 64 Bit only

Hassekebap one is 32 Bit only - so only obsolete Apple Java 6 32 Bit supported (or you'd have to fiddle a bit with it)

romovs anemone client 64 Bit seems to run on newer OsX with latest Oracle Java
XCom Apoc Lite 64 Bit needs to be verified still

Another way would be getting the Hassekebap one as a blueprint for the run.command and getting Ender client with his updater.jar (seperate folder!)
and edit run.command suitable to 64 Bit or just run it by updater.jar each time

Ahhh ive tried a few methods, basically all i get is a blank screen with the official client, the rest throw up errors of various forms with the bat file. i did change to 64bit in the bat file but then it gives me a different error. i copied the jar files listed in another big thread about os x to no avail. all of those users seem to have much older versions of OS X than me as well.

im on 10.10 with, i think, java 8.

hm blank screen - check your graphics drivers

Ok so with 10.10 and Java 8 you sure have 64 Bit Java so you'd need a 64 Bit client (whereas the main difference is just the jogl and gluegen_rt libaries)

What you can try is grabbing the Hassekebap Ender 32 Bit - then download the Ender updater.jar - drop it into extracted Hassekebap folder and run it -
it downloads also the proper 64 Bit macosx - universal libaries (allow it to overwrite) - next you'd have to edit the run.command to suit 64 Bit (- D64) and prolly Java path - then you'd be able to start it via run.command in terminal

when you say java path what does that mean? do i need to point the run command to somewhere? going to try what you suggested now, also I have never tried to see if there are updates for the graphics drivers, i figured they update auto but who knows. will be back to share my findings.

*EDIT*

looks like a jogl version error ...

i guess you'd uninstall Java 8 JRE and install Java 8 JDK (JRE doesn't set home path variables)
