That's the first time this thing happens to me.
I go to forage, badly needing some flotsam.
And I see some blood on the shore, in a signpost trap. I think fuck, I won't find any flotsam, some hunter/forager passed just a bit ago and took them all...
So I was going to look for him, thinking that the guy got some knowledge due to the trap so that may be an interesting fight.

So I keep going throw the rivers when I see a boar. And like 5 seconds after I've seen it, it got hit by a stone.
Here comes my hunter

I try and find his boat, i take it stealthy, i hide both his and my boat on the land behind tree, and I go say "hello" to the man.
He spot me, and try to flee.
I hit him once with punch, the man keep running, then go to the water, turn swim on.
Oh fuck i think, my stamina is low, this char is my main, i won't follow him. Good job man.
Then he turns back into the water. He knows he can't make it to the other shore.
And he just wait, and drown.

Man rather than kill yourself. Fight back. You may have win actually.

Being as how you hit him with a punch and he kept running, you didn't kill anyone with one punch. Even if you had, why do we care?

Being as how you hit him with a punch and he kept running, you didn't kill anyone with one punch. Even if you had, why do we care?

the thread is directed at the guy he killed (indirectly)

by "with one punch" he means that the person ended up dead, when all bru did was punch him, then he killed himself, at the end of the thread he told the guy he killed to not do that, and rather turn and fight

we had a similar situation not long ago, after our village was abandoned, we found that an exiled member had been leaving very near by for a fair while, without a palisade, so we went to kill him, he did the same, except he was too lazy to take swimming and do it properly, he just stood in the river, dropped the bronze armour/helm we gave him while he was in the village and logged of, leaving us to kill him there

it does kinda suck that if someone's going to die they know it's not hard to run into the nearest river and everything they had is just gone... seems like you should be able to pick things up from the river
