Suddenly real life means nothing..

Suddenly real life means nothing to anyone..
Applying for villages is really hard in HnH if you don't play at least 4 hours a day, it would appear.
Am i the only person on here that has a life?
I mean i know not everyone has loads of stuff on but surely people have freinds, social lives, jobs, school/college/uni or whatever..

So why don't people want people that play 2 - 3 times a week in their village?

If their willing to pull their wieght i see no problem.

It's strange that competitive villages want players who are actively producing and supporting their village? It's a risk and an investment to take someone on so I don't see why it's horrid to want people who will benefit you the most without costing a lot. Personally I hated taking people on, setting them up with land, resources, and connections and then seeing them maybe twice a week. Sure, they didn't have a ton of upkeep on them but it was risky taking on someone new and giving them access to resources, villagers, and allies and they weren't really bringing anything useful to the table.

Shoot for a social village, I guess?

I see where your coming from but as a player, i ask for no land or anything like that, i pull my weight when online i expect nothing inreturn just a place to call home.

I see no problem with that.

Also i have tried social villages and im not keen no body plays the game as such just use it insted of skype or msn. And in my case social villages want you online every hour of everyday as they appear to be more bored with the game and apparently need someone to entertain them.

I just think people need to understand not everyone is gonna play the game all hours or come to their every shout.

Sometimes i think being a villager is like being a slave.

But then theres the nice ones too.

Rather this game is one of the best i have played, i would prefer to continue playing but with a village.

I guess im sorry i simply don't have the money for full internets or the time aside from studies and shit to enable me to play the game and escape RL.

Play as a hermit. I do it and i can stop playing for some time, then continue without having to argue with village :) try it, it's fun!
Hope you have a great day

^ this is what most likely happens to the villages with only casual players.
if none of your villagers worry about the similar fate, then you might as well try and enjoy it.
but if you depend on others to protect you while you go casual, your option is to play a hermit.
