New player looking for information on game politics

Postby PZ01 » Wed Mar 14, 2012 7:42 pm

Greetings all,

I'm a new player to the game and have been reading the guides, lurking in the forums and been wandering around in the game attempting to explore without getting too lost!

So far I've encountered 2 destroyed villages with rather menacing remarks left on stones and several destroyed hamlets, 2 villages that appear to be intact although there was no activity when I wandered past, a claimed territory that appeared to have nothing in it and someone sleeping in a lean-to.

So my thought was if village leaders/representatives could post about their village/community and say their name, are they a close knit group or open for a chat, how light/dark their motivations are, boasts, threats, a screencap or location indicator (the map is HUGE and I can't find myself on it yet).

I figured this game is an iron age sim and I thought it'd be cool if there was a list of established villages, notable persons within the game, trade routes (if any), areas to beware etc etc etc. Some men want to build an empire while others just want to watch the world burn. Which you you and your kin tend to?!

tl;dr Thinly veiled attempt to ask for a H&H 'who's who'/Doomsday Book.

Basically, if you follow what goes on in the "In Congress" forum you'll learn who the bigger movers and shakers are in no time. you're not going to get a whole lot of "hey hey ! Look at us!" because information can easily get you killed in this game so people like to keep their ville coords and whatnot close to the vest.

Rundown: Dis/Ainran (Narnia spelled backwards): they're the two biggest factions in the game atm and are heavy into pvp, if you buy high tier items, its likely going to be through them. Odditown: large group of autistic teenagers with daddy issues, avoid at all costs to not be a massive faggot. Melsonia: generally peaceful village, will likely talk/give you advice but aren't going to let you join them just because you asked nicely. Portgas & co: group of players who are the main enemy of Dis/Ainran currently. They've been known to do things like steal accounts from players. Painhertz: you can decide for yourself what he's about over time

I'm like Robin Hood, but instead of spreading the wealth, I keep it for myself.

Thought the faction extend a lot more, the most powerful take all more than 3SG, especially DIS and Airnan which the 2 biggest factions. There is a so called protected Supergrid by Dis, you can check the forum thread about it, seam to work well for now.
