No kidding, I've been killed for asking directions, or wondering to close to an unfamiliar village, etc., the fact that you weren't killed for being AFK in world 7 is practically a miracle, so don't morn the loss of your backpack move on and go make a new one and be glad whoever attacked you left you with your life, your clothes, and some semblance of dignity.

In general, it's a bad idea to leave your character AFK. That is unless you leave your character inside a house that's protected by a palisade that's protected by a brick wall, and even then you're not entirely safe because of rams and pali bashers.

That reminds me of this one time, before I had a palisade up in the area of my cemetery, this guy in a necromancers cloak comes up to me, knocks me out, says he's going to fuck my corpse and I say that's Because that's the only way a women would ever fuck him. Eventually he gave up and left as he didn't even have Murder to properly finish me off and knocking me out over and over again was taking forever. I wish I'd taken screen shots, I was laughing so hard at his noobyness.

How do you find your location out? I would much like to know where me and my fellows live at in the world, we have only seen abandoned villages, 1 other person building on this island and one person down our river. And one person was nice enough to drop by and give us a boar and some weed, we found his dead body later last night sadly... poor guy

Best way to find out your coords is to compare your surroundings to the world map at: http://algeralith.info/HavenMap/

There is also a program you can use that maps your region and you can upload your map, and it gives you feedback on your area, but I don't know much about that as I have never used said software.
