Just another day tracking

Postby bmjclark » Mon Mar 26, 2012 1:24 pm

Myself and jiochan set out for yet another night of random wandering around supergrids. We got a message in our skype conference about some ones friends getting murdered randomly. We headed to the coords provided, checking scents as we went. We assumed the person had just hearthed after killing the person (because that's what everyone seems to do =\), but we were wrong. We grabbed the scents, the perp was underground, right below us.

We started bashing into the town we assumed he was going to dig into to cut him off (sorry whoever we bashed :? ), and of course, he hearthed right as the wall broke. Wondering why, we walked into the cave and saw a bunch of ore around a cave in boulder in the last stretch to get into the persons town. Had he caused a cave in and been forced to hearth?

We set off in his direction, noticing he was off his HF (but probably in another town), with murder in our hearts. I happened upon someone with a merchant robe and a ranger cape who claimed to be beroro world. Noticing the town was right beside wrath of rabbits, the very town we were tracking to, i opted to kill him. We boated further down the river, murder scents were everywhere. We stopped to check each scent. A few perps had recently logged in but we continued heading towards wrath of rabbits. Luck would have it, 1 was off his HF. We continued in his direction, 10 seconds boating up the river later, we see our guy, d helm, soldier sword, merch robe and all.

He jumps in his boat and goes west, we follow. We notice the palibasher perp we had was now in that direction. Nearly positive more were coming, we called for help and continued on our way up the river, right into 2 more. Our boat slammed into theirs in the lag spike, so we rushed to shore and started running. Running as fast as our little hearthling legs would carry us, we darted between trees, cliffs and boulders, trying to lose our pursuers. We took a turn around a town, when suddenly, they all fell back, and attempted to drop aggro. We wouldn't let that happen.

We rushed straight back at the d helmer and steel helm guy still present and aggro'd both of them. It would seem their village mates had hearthed and left them there by some lack of communication  . Barely 10 seconds passed, and we had caught up to the d helmer. He juked my sting and took a sting from jiochan for 1300 or so.

Jiochan took back off after the steel helm guy and i was left to loot/kill the d helmer. After he was dead, i followed the wrong party arrow to the east rather then south  , and ran into this guy

A brief fight ensued before he was on the ground. I killed him and headed back towards jiochan (following the right arrow this time). Jiochan, killed the steel helm guy and took off after some more d helmers.

In this time, our backup had arrived. Assassin, Artyom and ladygoo. They chased and killed one of the d helmers that had arrived.

I ran straight to my boat assuming they were going to try to save people by picking them up in boats, sure enough, i boat right into another d helmer. Myself, Artyom and ladygoo trapped him quickly and chased him on land, he tried to swim a river and promptly got stabbed.

Jiochan was still chasing one more, but he ran into 3 more people so he turned around and left them. They wouldn't follow for obvious reasons.

Even being nearby doesn't matter that much, because we all know you carry 1000000 buckets of water and can just run someone right in to a trap anyways. Not to mention probably pick off a guy or two just during the process of running.

Guess you were right ;)

Dude you REALLY need to start using Puush. Your screenshots never show anything....
