Just got killed, weird stuff going on?

So was just working in my village and some people showed up and knocked me out. Then one of them said something to the effect of "you'll never live this down, tropos" then they brought a bunch more people in and said they were from DIS. They seemed to think I was from a rival village or something, but I'm just a hermit minding my own business.

After this they said they would give me gold if I helped them carry their boats, and they would kill me if I didn't. Then they just killed me. I got a screenshot of what 2 of them looked like.



I don't know WTF is going on here, I'm not trying to get involved in village politics here. If you guys are reading this I have nothing to do with you.

Makes sense, I just thought it was weird because they were talking about village stuff. They also asked me if I was someone when they first came, don't remember the name they said though. So i think they thought I was someone from a rival faction.

That's what happens when you don't choose your location carefully, angry neighbors come out to slap your shit regardless of being peaceful or not.

I'm not sure that it was actually DIS, more or less, a lot of people pretend to be DIS/Ainran when they raid noobs, because you're less likely to ask for help if so.

My guess, some village near you just wanted an easy kill, and they got it. Make a palisade next time bud.

There are no village claims anywhere near me except for one called the Tundra, I asked if they were from there and they said no. Also I've met someone from the Tundra and he was nice so I don't think anyone near me would want to raid me.


But yeah, this really sucks. I was almost done with my palisade too, this might have been prevented if it happened like a day later once I finished it...

EDIT: Just reincarnated and checking out the damage. They didn't destroy anything but they did take all my leather armor and boar helm, and all the curios I was studying.
