Well, its finally happened.
My simple hermitage has been raided.
Considering I only started up within a couple weeks ago, I can't say I have much. No mineholes, no metals. All crops below 50. Etc.
The thing that drives me to the forums is the fact that this raider has destroyed my house, my coops, looms, herb tables, etc.. nearly everything.. Even crates filled with useless junk. He also bashed the gate of the pali to make it more of a pain to rebuild the wall, and I am unfortunate enough to have finished my village idol apparently right before he raided, so he nuked that too.
While I understand the thrill of raiding, and the joy at the prospect of loot, but to go out of your way to destroy nearly everything a harmless player has built up? With a dwindling playerbase, it just doesnt make sense to me for a player to do unwarranted senseless destruction with the seeming goal to make someone/some people quit.
Warring village destruction I understand, scentless hermitages?
If he just took anything and everything of value, id normally just suck it up and remain quiet. But the needless destruction has driven me to the forums to request a ranger. Unfortunately, I do not have much in the way of information. All I know is that he bashed my north gate (no ram as I used that gate less than 12 hrs ago) and that hes a dick. He left the message "The Glorious Leader sends his regards".
I dont have much in the way of payment either, being a noob still. I can only offer 2-3 flotsams, what little I had alt-vaulted.
Anyone got any opinions on whether I should consider rebuilding at the same spot (though to be honest, its got crap soil, crap access to water and clay, when I selected it I chose it for the proximity of a bunch of swamps) or just do an alt exodus to a new spot?
