Peaceful possible?

I am a peaceful player but it seems every time I start to get somewhere some jerks come raiding and killing. Is there any place that is safe? Or a way to play the game and not have to worry about these people. I like this game but these people make it unpleasant to play since they seem to just be out to spoil other peoples fun. Had a palisade and both personal and village claims up. Brokeolina 2 (or some such name) has been hanging out near the village asking to join....just stood outside the wall for more than 30 minutes doing nothing and when I went into my house's basement an attack occurred...not sure if they are involved...just seems suspicious.

I am really hoping there is a way to be peaceful in this game as it is fun, but being killed by random people for no reason (I have not even left my palisade area in days) seems to make this game unplayable for the long term.

A brickwall is the best way to defend yourself. If you REALLY want to tell the world to fuck itself, make a BW outside of your main BW 51 tiles away so that archers can't even touch you.

Well, I guess the real answer is simply, no.

People play the game is different ways, many enjoy killing and raiding, that's how they extract a bit of fun from H&H.

My advice to you is this,

Brickwall, brickwall, brickwall.

Make it a priority, if you patrol it daily, your settlement is practically impenetrable, barring someone like... pocketing a ram against your wall or something. There is probably areas in the map that are safer than others, there is a "Peaceful grid" controlled by Dis, there is a thread about it somewhere. I don't really know if that's even that safe. But it's an option nevertheless.

Also remember. If you are fretting about how to obtain the wrought iron and steel for your wall, you don't necessarily have to mine and refine the ore yourself. Go to the Apples For Oranges section of the forums and trade some flotsams/bear carcasses/edels/bluebells/pearls/other goods for the wrought you need. You'll need a village idol to trade, or you can travel by foot for some traders. But you said you have a Vclaim, so you should be fine

Even though I'm still very inexperienced with this game, I can say that from my experiences I have had, from what I've seen on the forums, that there is NO place in the world that is peaceful. Sure, there is that supposed "peace grid", but people are still going to cause trouble within that grid. Others will cause trouble from outside of the grid.
You can be far away from these ludicrous faction wars but still be unsafe. People will grief you. People will raid you. It's only a matter of time.
Somewhere you'll do something someone won't like, which will lead them to either confronting you peacefully (not very likely to happen) or confronting you with violence.

You need to set brickwall, and surround it with statues, making it like vault. Also it MUST have area between wall and plots to be impossible to shoot people that inside. So something like 5-6k of bricks and 600-700 steel is needed
