Yeah, tracking to hearthfire led to that pile of wood in the forest, and tracking the perpetrator led to his corpse infront of my gate.

You can track dead char's hf before it comes to be a skeleton, at least that works for me.

Me and Redell whiped out a village in W4 by tracking murder scents from my character who had been killed the day before. Was a long story but I got summon killed and the killers didn't leave any scents doing it.

In W5 I got killed by a guy who was then killed by Ainran. I *think* I was able to track his hf to either the location of his old fire, or his new fire after he reincarnated (didn't get far enough to see anything what with losing all powers of per*exp). I was definitely able to track his hearth even when 'Track Perpetrator' was telling me he was dead.

Edit to clarify - I was definitely able to track days after his corpse decayed, but due to my low stats couldn't find his home. It might be rilodoppelori who killed me, anyone know where he was living at the end of W5? (And if it was him, my thanks to Dis for killing him in this world).
