I am very curious about this. You seem to be new, so please excuse what may seem like basic questions:

Did he just knock you out, or did he actually punch you while you were down?
Did you see the death cloud above your char?
Can you see your char here: www.havenandhearth.com/portal/profile

What is the timeline with the server crash? If you were killed, you could have gone to the title screen, so how would have you even realized that the server had crashed?

I fell over in a daze after the first strike, he stood over me for a couple cool downs then struck me for 1200. I logged into my alt afterwards with no choice of my main character

As he knocked my alt to the floor, it froze and i layed there until i realised i "disconnected" tried a reconnect and found the server to be down. My alt is still alive(he was a dumby character to bring a new main character into my home if need be.)

EDIT: Certainly a dead Main, interestingly after all this time. My home is untouched... my poor LP Currently working furiously towards palisades
