Whether or not they're productive neighbors really depends on their commitment to gaining the skills to be worthwhile trade partners/fighters. Yes, there are times that it's useful to raise noobs for tedious tasks, but as they develop then end up in direct competition for forage items. There's also the security risk of them running their mouths to other players, as well as the all-to-common language barrier that frequently props up between players.

You also probably should change your location to Klaue cave.

Foraged curios aren't that great (maybe "dependable" is a better word) anyway, apart from eidels and glimmermoss. Honestly its better to build infrastructure and then trade for flotsams and bluebells, in my opinion*.

So I'd rather help local peaceful players and gain trading partners / allies.

If you are constantly being griefed in one region, it's probably time to pack up and move on. There are still places you can grow in peace, until you can actually defend yourself.

*Maybe this is partly because there are plenty of people in my foraging grounds who i don't attempt to drive out though...

Well, they are great for you, that part of my post was more addressed to the people killing you.
The bit about bias was just me teasing burgingham a little bit, so don't worry about that.

As long as you are enjoying yourselves, stay in the same place I suppose. If it ever becomes not fun then its time to move on for sure.

yes we enjoy the most laughin part is when 1 or 2 come to steal us and we login with our "multies" and staart making jokes like putting everyone around him and atract them to house and block on way out xD

its fun but they kill and steal ... and kill a main char is fucked up because having time spend on the mains and in 2 sec they are dead ...
