I think they did it because you're black.

Ugh. I have no problems with rebuilding my hearthling, it just sucks that I have nowhere to live now. And I dont feel like making another village. :(

They may have destroyed your main's hearth fire and summoned him elsewhere to be murdered.

I was main who was killed and also LS at Windermere; I also built almost everything there by myself over the last month--I had only started recruiting villagers just over a week ago, and they were trusted.

We were a peaceful village, mainly helping out new players (although none of us veterans ourselves) and a number of victims of the /b/tard massacre, and just having fun building and going through the usual trials of team-building and task-organizing. There were no vandals or thieves in the community. I had one incident about two weeks ago where I had taken clay from what I thought was (and turned out wasn't) an abandoned clay claim. I made diplomatic pardons for that, paid off the clay, and took my dose of humility in getting pantsed. Fair nuf.

We were currently in the process of developing our brick wall, which, due to my own designs, was overly elaborate, but would have been a pretty damn cool village design when finished.

We were attacked today by a palibasher (bear cloak) and ranger (ranger clothes, merch robes). I was the only character in town who could offer any defense, and did, to little effect. Our village is only a few people, and only one other player was on. All of his chars were sniped.

I asked the raiders why we were being raided, or if it was random, and they said we had 'angered a powerful faction'. I asked for diplo or an explanation and they offered none; they would not say who we had supposedly offended or why.

None of us had vandal or thief scents, so none of us were summonable, except for my chieftain, who had one week ago made the mistake of killing off an alt (in-town) at that player's request. He was apparently summoned and murdered while I was later offline.

I put what I could on alts and logged them off while the palibasher did his work. I brought my main back on several hours later and was ambushed in my house--they had sealed off the exit with an HF, so I had no way of even escaping--there was obvious intent to specifically kill me, probably for fighting back.

I think this is a great game, and I can't fault it in any way for what happened--those are the rules, after all--but by the same token I've sunk too much time into it (12-16hrs/day the last week alone) and now I've seen all of mine and my crew's hard work wiped out for no apparent reason beyond lulz. We had nothing much worth stealing, were never high level, had only started silk and herding, and the two of us that had steel ability were frantically working on our BW. We can't compete with the high level factions who have months of head start on us. Join or die, I guess. Just the nature of the game, but we wanted to do things for ourselves.

Thanks to all of those who supported us. I'll do my best to inherit the village on to whatever crew of mine will keep playing, if the village can be re-secured, but obviously the village is no longer even remotely secure. I think I'm done with the game.

cheers,
Q

You claim to have done nothing, but in a screenie, someone mentions "found the murder scent". If you were summoned, it would seem pretty clear why. No?

According to the above wall of text, it was a scent collected from the killing of an alt inside of the village. Lrn2read.

That would be delightful  . The coords are -27,42. Directly south of the settlement in the map.
Go ahead and try to raid it, whoever reads this. Shit's all fucked up over there.
When I checked on our village with our key alt I didn't find any murder scents, except for the one I made days ago when I killed an alt (I did find a bunch of other scents though). So I guess they must be pretty high leveled.
Thanks in advance :D.

Hi, guys. I am friends with your LS, QT, and have helped him through the game. I received a PM and boated over to take scents. I will track them ASAP and try to get you information when I can.

Best regards,

Mvpeh
