To any of you murder hobos out there, do you guys have general rules on who you kill or is it just anyone you think you can do easily?

if i'm in the mood to kill everything that moves, which occasionally i am, surprisingly often even, yes, though less just a set of rules as such, more just judge something as i see it. I mean, sure, had i the 600+ ua of some i'd be a little more confident running headlong into near any fight in which i'm not numerically outdone.

Since i don't have 600 ua however (after death, my new character currently has 5 (not my inherit)) i was on 200 when i died, i was leaving it there for the tournament, my rule was somewhere along the lines of, if it runs at me and it's equipment glints in the sun, run away from it or if it's not a situation that you can escape, since now you're not the one murdering, but the one being murdered, fight your best, if they do more than 70% of my defense, swim across the nearest river and hope they don't have the balls to follow, if they do, swim back across, rinse and repeat until you run out of water to drink, but hey... that shouldn't be a problem, it's a river after all

One would think so. 600 UA also seems so stupidly high to me, I suppose it'll seem natural after a while.

addition: there is a raisin only around 500 people play this game, not that many people are "hardcore" enough to want to go about after dying

I understand what you mean but attempting to make friends in the game gets you killed every so often can really hurt any sense of community, I suppose with between the villages you guys don't have such a problem. But it's rather harsh on a hermit that has to go out of their way to learn their neighbors only to get shot down by them, quite literally.

I figured as such, I was reading a thread by someone I can't remember clearly right now but someone named Jiochan had 1000 UA, I paled somewhat after that. I daresay he may kill me just walking by. Also Swarls with whatever his ungodly str count is. I feel as though I have a lot of stuff to catch up on. It doesn't help that I've only ever been late to a world so I'm at a natural disadvantage. Everyone's already stupid high while I'm just 10's across the board.

There's no such thing as "Stupidly high"

The difference between life and death isn't stupid.

Of course not, but with the way things constantly scale the idea of me coming close to such numbers having started so late is absurd so it's somewhat offputting.

your best chance of ever getting close to that is to find a good village, of course many villages wont accept noober goobers, just focus manly on staying alive, if you use enders the global chat can be kind of a nice social interaction (if anybody is on)
i really need to find a good signature

well you're more promising than most newcomers :) i was super late to world 5, our village was just blossoming when world 6 crashed through our palisade, luckily redell had an alt in our villages (not that i knew) and i think that kept us that little bit more safe from attack for all that time we spent without a wall, but of course this thread is regarding being out of your walls, and since you seem nice, i'll tell you anything i can.

-Water, lots of water, as many buckets as you have inventory space to sacrifice, just enough to get you back to a riverside and with any luck your boat
-if someone's catching up on you in a chase and it's obvious they have an attack to be used on you (if you have ender's they have no movement line) before they get to you, stop, then keep running after they've attacked, if you're moving, what little ua you might have will count for nothing, even if you have 100, someone with 200 will do alot to your defense, i'm not sure if they'll break it, but even if they do, they'll do less damage
-i saw someone say they try not to look menacing by just wearing leather and a farmer hat, GOOD GOD DO NOT TO THAT, if at all possible, wear as much armour as you can, again, even a little might stop you from not being lying on your back staring at the hilt of someone's soldier sword
-if things go tits up, have some balls, consider the following, someone took your boat and are aiming at you, if you run inland, they'll just keep aiming and one shot you, if you have the constitution for it, swim to their boat, they will shit themselves because their advantage was just smashed to bits and sometimes you just have to try crazy shit
Oh boy, here I go cheesemaking again...
