Ok you probably know this stuff better than me but heres what I read. I think also you had to be there to really understand what went down. First of all he went in their alone no backup so had no idea what to expect, and he is not one to underestimate his opponents. To me the jumping was irrelevent as in the beginning he clearly states that during the initial static foray they were teaming up on him and gaining the advantage and then to regain the advantage Fobia took off running to get them to chase in order to ensure his victory by the art of movement combat which is completely different from static combat as I'm sure you know since I hear you guys pretty much invented it.

I think the fight was more than fair because of the numbers (it was actually 4 against 1 not 2 - the other guys were farther way because they chased me and another guy and then they ran away instead of helping their mates) as well as the fact that it is possible to best a superior foe using the art of movement camembert. As for the gear well, there was more than two guys there and they left scents from ko'ing two of us, and killing another, and bashing the bw (which neither Fobia nor any of us knew at the time because we were all preoccupied and had only just logged in. It all went down so fast and admitedly our village lacks the training and quick response time of older villages to deal and/or prevent breakins. [that is being remedied I assure you], so it took us a while to think or actually act on the thought of getting alts out to do a quick recon of the outer bw. So yeah, Fobia wasnt bad guy for being better at combat than them. It was knowledge not better characters, they could have won if their movement combat skills were better. And besides all that, aren't you forgetting who the raiders were? Fobia saved us - he's our hero!

Edit: Oh yeah and the second guy was summoned using scent he left in our village when they raided, thats how fobia was able to remove and study the entrails of the second fellow.

Edit2: Oops, turns out I was wrong about that last edit, Fob corrected me on it. The extra gear was just some extra stuff the one guy was carrying. We did find evidence of other raids at nearby villages. Could have been stuff they got from other raids who knows. Anyway, they got some of our best gear too, the guys who ported away got away with the loot.

No offense, but the fact that you thought you might
have died to people raiding that kinda village, with
that gear, and who fought like that.. confounds me..
it was a butchering o.O not an epic battle...

from the way you talk about the fight it doesn't seem
at all like they had nearly as much UA as you, in fact
it seems as if combined they may have been able to
take down 30% of your defense... because you were
able to take advantage of stances, which relies mainly
on stats... if they had stats nearly even with yours at
all... and were both doing anything other than jumping,
they would have killed you.

You got hit moving, they got hit moving, and then you
let the last one get away (didn't even break house? )



Confused bits?...
Also... you talk like you killed two but in your story you
only kill one... you have 2 Vap's... and you have a necro
cape but say you looted a merch robe... you are wearing
the merch?... you said they had 180 delta... but you seem
to be able to see every scent... why a ql 64 armor boots
but 133 useless merchant robe?...

First of all, these guys told me they were getting raided by 3 or 4 guys and that's pretty much all I knew about it, in fact, they at first thought it was someone they had oathed and had around 150 agi, which is more than what my character has and obviously they reported two or three more so it was reasonable to think they all had about the same stats so, yeah, with that information I pretty much assumed I would die. I guess it's also worth mentioning that there's no way of knowing what quality their gear was without koing them first.

I never said it was an epic battle, in fact, thread's title sums up pretty much the reason of posting, I am curious about who it was and I refuse to track with 180º delta on the scents. The only reason the story is posted is just because I felt adding some content would be nice, even if it was a story about noob raiders getting owned by someone who has not played for 6 months and is also a noob.

As for the fight:
When they punched me they took down around 40% of my def and dealt damage. There's not much to say about the way they fought, they weren't really punch-jumping but they overflexed one or two times and I am almost sure the guy I was flexing against had bloodlust on when I stung him with 80% attack. It's worth to mention they knew that if you attack when someone is moving without a move queued it deals damage so they certainly knew stuff about fighting.

And about the confusing bits:
I clearly stated that the second guy ran as soon as I koed his friend and I chased him just for a few seconds before I told myself that it was better to turn around and leave. Why? Because I had no back up comming. As far as I got told there was no hole in the wall I could use to escape if things started to get too bad. I can't bash houses down, much less mansions, so even if they got in a log cabin getting near them was just asking for another fight, this time 3v1. Overall I just told myself they were most likely regrouping, bringing back up or leaving and turned around to finish the koed guy, loot and leave.

I looted the q133 mrobe and immediately replaced my necro with it so I could take everything else, I also replaced my q95 vap with one that I looted. I don't know why they had q64 rboots and q133 mrobe but that's what they had.

Those scents are probably from either the owners of the village or mine. The only scent leading to alive people I could find I had 180º delta on it.
