If you keep thinking like that you'll wake up as Burg one day.

Cmon Kaois you are cuter then that, when I died I was offered two characters that were better then the one that died, and food to compensate. Lots more food and gear offered after Wrath Of Rabbits

Ask anyone from Pandemonium last world who was playing and you would hear other wise. I guess it's because of the siege system, (you didn't have to protect AD, they were able to move everything), and time zones (you couldn't protect your own tree plot because you were not on) that we haven't seen you defend a town before.

Sorry, then what? I don't think things got any worse since the start of the world. Seems like just another day to me.

I guess it's probably because we allied Dis then. See more of this

the whole chat scripts, and massive alt walling took a lot away from me

Winterfell we put up with waves of 8 alts while trying to siege it, it was bullshit, but we managed to make the ram. After that wall, I basically realized we would never be able to siege a town like Wrath Of Rabbits.

Whoa, after reading this thread my head is spinning a little. So much buttfrustration among so many people. Anyways, there are some things that need to be pointed out to everyone, no matter what your affiliations and moral standings.

Gaining access to an online account/data storage with the intent to damage or alter the aforementioned data or deny service to the account holder is a crime in almost all western jurisdictions, namely the US and EU. That being said, morality means nothing if you decided to ever try to brute force an account. It is a crime and you may be reported to your local authorities and your ISP may take additional corrective action. Brute forcing a hs is more of an ingame bug abuse and likely not covered by any criminal code, but there is nothing stopping Jorb from punishing you as he sees fit.

The chatbug thing is really on the fine line between bug abuse and something more sinister, but loftar should have fixed that shit ages ago and it really is his own damn fault for not correcting it. Anyways, if you were to decide to crash the server with a straight ddos via LOIC or some other means, just as with abusing other people's accounts, you're opening yourself up to law enforcement, having your ISP deny you service, etc.

So morality aside, if you decide to go further into the world of breaking things with the internet, please remember that worse things than losing your chars and village may come as a result. Yes the mechanic of building a ram and camping it sucks, but maybe you can try infiltrating a faction, use your brain to hurt them in other ways ingame, or actually camp a ram and enjoy the feeling of accomplishment and the inevitable well-earned butthurt to be seen on the forums.

I'd also like to say that to his credit, burg is one of the more cerebral thinkers of the community and there is logic and reasoning behind most of his positions. While that does not mean nor is it intended to imply that he is correct in all his thinking, why not voice disagreements by means of logic?

One last thing that I'd like to do, and that's dump on the devs some more. Please explain to me why you haven't written a terms of service in all the years since 2009. By not doing so you really invite most of the problems that you have to deal with to grow and develop into the monstrous tumors that they are.

The ambiguous, laissez faire nature that you take in correcting abuses of the game is a testament to your incompetence in managing the development of a civil online community and userbase for this game. The atrocities of the game mechanics aside, your utter lack of effort towards meta development is puerile given the scale of the community that you try to maintain and your responsibility to maintain this project. You should be ashamed of your failures and even more so of your inability to learn from them. Where this utter lack of responsibility comes from is irrelevant, as it may be corrected at any time, though sadly with your past track record, that time does not appear to be coming any time soon. Every so-aptly-named Jorbfist is another blow to your personal character, another instance of your failure to prevent another nail being driven into the heart of this once greatly enjoyable project. I do sincerely hope that this angers you, and that you direct that anger towards yourself, that you feel blame, and that you at the very least make an effort to correct these abhorrent qualities that do little but bring you shame.

A tree plot is not worth to lose a char when we have backup of seeds water soil.. an allys village is. Also i doubt dis will go to a sure death to protect your village for example.

Kaios wrote:lol you are talking as if "discovering to use 100 alts as a wall" is some amazing bug discovered only because the hardcore players discovered it!! Seems to me all it takes is a little common sense to figure that possibility out.

I asked a rather simple question, if the method had been directly used before. From what I understood the use of alts in this case was different then normal.

From what I've read, this is the first time bodies have been used to directly replace a palisade. If it was such an easy thing to figure out, why hasn't it happened before?

I'm not claiming that it is an amazing bug discovery, but, I believe it is something that was discovered and can be used to make this game better once development resumes.

That has been known since world 2. There even used to be an announcement that everyone using that should get prepared to have their accounts deleted by Jorb himself.

In this case however, it brought the dev's back to actually do something to the game. In addition, the fix the implemented was immediately tested and shown to help but not totally fix the problem. I would suggest that this is what testing is all about.

Now, I will say that forcing the devs to come back and work on the game to make fixes might just be pissing them off, but it also might be re-engaging them with development of H&H.
