Ok, so you feel the need to create chaos.
That is again very sociopathic. Do we have anyone here who is not a sociopath that likes to engage in aggresive gameplay? ^^
I don't really believe that every single person playing this way has such characteristics and I am still interested in explanations.
I got a message from Qant and it seems he is mostly just completely unaware of the moral implications his actions had. He seems rather unaware of him harming other humans at the other end of that internet cable and rather just acknowledges the "loot" sitting in their cupboards, much as if those people were just computer generated content.
So this is a lack of empathy then maybe. Goes into the same direction as the former answers. I sense maybe that is the whole reason behind it. The lack to emphasize with the fact that there are actual people playing this game. On the internet things are still so anonymous (that can be good or bad) and there is such a clear distinction between online and "real life" that it became a dictum.
I would personally argue and ask people to try and assume a different perspective on this (that is of course not limited to this game, but a general statement now) and accept the fact that the internet is just another tool to continue the everlasting communication we have everyday, everytime with real people and that all the rules that apply to us in the normal world, in face to face communication, also apply when we go online.
It would be interesting to have the entire HnH population sit and play in one room. A psychological experiment if you so want. To see wether in game behavior changes if the person you are about to rob sits right next to you and looks you in the eyes and asks: "Dude, what are you doing there?"
Can't really play out that one, but an interesting thought nontheless
