They were grossly outnumbered,

but Cayir shoulda stabbed that guy
in the front, it was biting at me that
he just let him follow in that manner

The best way to get away is to split
your chasers and then kill off one or
two... or KO

Now this post has come to some interesting points in the last pages. :D
Bugs and exploits have been analyzed a lot and in good ways.
I will not say that people that act this bug abusing ways are not good people in RL, because I do understand that this is a game and we not neccessarily act ingame like in real life.

But what I dont really understand about the H&H community is the almost unexistant loyalty, and I do believe that ppl that is loyal al RL tend to show they are this way at games.
People playing with others for months sudenly exiles, kills, steal, etc., other players that have behaved ok to them or the village.
Players that change sides so easily, like start playing in WF and go make friends with their allies, then turns to play at one of DIS satellites, and then again go to the enemy playing at AD, and after again go play with DIS.
Someone makes a friend that trusts him/her with the pass and someday uses it to fuck up the account killing the main, and making this person become an enemy of someone else.

So... maybe someone more experienced in the insides of the H&H community, that me can throw some tips about why this happens here?. I would really like to understand it.
I dont really care about bugs&exploits (even I dont like them at all), but I do care about this human aspect of the game, and it is a big drawback for me.

Interesting read.

I would think that a very large percentage of this game playerbase is what one calls "tweens". Judging by many forum posts I believe that to be true. In addition a very large percentage is teenagers. Their emphatic skills in both groups are really not fully developed at that age, nor is the ability to think abstract. I think most griefers are in those two groups. Those who consciously go out of their way to ruin someone elses gameplay. Enjoying pvp in a pvp game is not griefing in my view. Fighting over nodes, responding to aggressions, retaliating and all those things is regular pvp gameplay.

I am one of those that think that who you are when you think no one can see or touch you, defines your RL character. Of course it does. The tweens are somewhat excused, but if you are over 18 your brain is pretty much fully developed physically, and you know right from wrong. You know these pixels on the screen represent real people. You know that cupboard full of cheese represent many many hours of work. If you destroy that, just for "the lolz" that is a character-defining moment. That is who you are. Not forever hopefully, but right now - that is who you are. You are just kidding yourself if you think otherwise.

I think I read here on the forum once about a guy who had been part of a village for quite some time, and had put in a lot of work in the village. Until one day they turned on him and killed his character.Would you trust such people in RL? I would not.

I really wish I could find that post, way back around W2 or W3 where Jorb or Loftar said(in a kinda sarcastic statement) "well do you want us spending all our time working and killing bugs, or working on the installments of the next world."(or something to that extent)

it's been some time ago(years?)

but would really like to find that post.

You know the server is in bad shape when people actually bother posting killshots of people like cayir or troll
You may have foiled the plans of BAD-EVIL this time, but there is no rest for the wicked.

I was thinking much the same thing when negotiating with Troll17 over a personal claim. He opened negotiations with smashing everything, and knocking my alt down. These seemed to be the tactics of a schoolyard bully who does not realize that it does not have the same impact when someone can log off. When he did not get his way, he killed my alt (a brand new alt created just to talk). Intimidation factor zero.

What's this?

"That land is owned by Dill II"

I guess we'd better investigate.

Fancy place

And a fresh kill

I've been told that when these guys are in trouble, they call for Troll17 to come and help them. Sounds like AD allies to me.
