Again, I was not involved what so ever and I even attempted to coax them into not raiding.

why repair the wall?

OP hide the walls and give us a screenshot of those scents please. Also that image host is horrific.

Seems like the village got lazy about checking for rams though.

The ram was initially palisaded.

This. The scents are there nontheless. That does not really make sense.

That is why you use the plot system. Nothing to raid. It''s like raiding a ghost town .

Mvpeh I mean why repair the brickwall. I understand if there was a ram that it was palisaded... but then I would not expect the OP to be so surprised, unless they are just too lazy to patrol.

edit: understand I'm not trying to condemn anyone, but if it was a normal raid then confirmation of this means the OP knows that he was raided due to his security flaw, rather than a walljump.

and if it is a walljump then that is useful information for every player.

some people actually do repair walls for lolz.
with brickwalls, more unlikely, but if this village had stocks of bricks inside, it is highly possible and easy.

Sure, lolz is all the justification needed :)

I would still like a look at those scents closer up to confirm this. Would probably be easy to tell.

I already did. No walljump involved. It was rammed.
