if i dont see a villager ive recruited log at least once a day and see them working, then it does bug me, especially at this stage int he game whereby they enjoy the security and set up the starter villagers worked to produce in the town. Hunting to me is the only job i'd have little issue with someone being part time with, but thats because we have a few hunters and tamed animals produce a lot of meat to not require a huge amount being hunter. but still 2 hrs a day is casual to me if im going to compre it to the time spent by the rst of the villagers ingame.

sounds like you have a good handle on things. in some of the villages i been in, not so good. some where on the change of policy of allowing thier players to do raids on newb villages(and this was after i talked to them for a bit). others were rather to lenient on thier recruitment policy and then were raided. still others didn't understand the importance and forthought on everybody gets a "piece of the pie" and just not thier girlfriend. and still others who wanted to use quality mats to make banners instead of quality curios. and my personal favorite, others who walk around with the village keys on thier forageing char because, "If i die, i'm taking the village with me."

mayby i'm just jaded

you're jaded joo:D

Wait, villages actually allow resource allotment which only benefits the head and their most significant hands? People put up with that? With that much taxation there better damn well be socialism going on. My favorite villages have all been dictatorial with a benevolent dictator properly allocating all resources to their best and more fair uses but it's easy to imagine why these are hard to come by.

I've always wanted to see a capitalist society emerge but the game really doesn't support this yet.

Its mainly because itts hard to tell if someone is going to screw a villge over because of that. I do not mean by not pulling their own weight, but I am assuming atleast half of the people postting are alts for griefers so it makes it hard for small villages to take on others because of that.

I've found the proper balance. I play 5-18 minutes a month. I find that I can almost accomplish something in that allotted amount of time. I built two drying racks last time and almost finished a boat. I'm shooting for finishing my mansion sometime in 2015.

In PH we have taxes, workplaces and free market, also you won't get anything for free. This solution has advantages like regular materials for village stuff and disadvantages like ppl who won't do more then they have to.
