Thanks for the advice and the compliment Hazzor, I'll be sure to remember them. I doubt I'll get far this world, I'm mostly just trying to build myself up as a hermit and then maybe move to a village once I have a good enough grip on everything I think I'll need to know. We've got somewhat off topic but I'm grateful for it, I'm sure the information will help me out at some point.

ok ok, for hordes of Dhelmers there's a different set of tactics

1. drop your pants
2. if they're don't take the bait and are still chasing you, run to the nearest river
3. swim across, if you make it, yay, go to next step, if not, eat more pies next time
4. they will likely still be following you, run alongside the river, when they're at your side of the river, swim back
5. discover they're not idiots, and they left half of their horde on the other side of the river, take their swords like a champ, shouting something heroic.
6. come to the forums and call them cowards for outnumbering you
