There is only a scent when you enter the claim (trespassing), if you forage on a claim there is no scent.

As stated before, foraging on any claims that is not yours, regardless if it is a village claim or a personal claim, will not leave a scent. The only scent that would be left is the mandatory trespassing upon entering a personal claim.

Still if he was summoned then a scent was left somewhere is some form or another - and really, at this stage of the game a palisade is little better than a roundpole fence.. you need to get yourself behind a brick wall asap.

If it is flotsam, then surely there should be no trespassing scent. You are able to sail through any river at any time.
